Maggies Tanks sizing: choosing a size for your first order
Your usual T-shirt size is a useful reference, but it is not the whole fit decision. A tank with built-in support sits close to the body, so take a moment to check measurements, bust coverage, and the way you want to wear it.

Start with the full size chart
Use the Maggies Tanks size chart before placing an order. Sizes run from S to 6XL. Compare the measurements and garment length with a tank you already like. The calculator can provide an estimate from weight and height, with bra size optional, but your measurements and preferred coverage still matter.
Measure comfortably, without pulling the tape tight
Stand naturally and keep a soft tape level around the part you are measuring. Avoid compressing your body with the tape. If someone is helping, check that the tape is not twisted at the back. Keep the units consistent when comparing your measurements with the chart. A measurement taken over bulky clothing can give a different result.
Give a fuller bust its own fit check
Look at neckline coverage, armholes, torso length, and how the straps sit. A tank can feel comfortable around the waist yet need a different fit across the bust. Reviews mentioning 3XL and larger sizes can offer context, but the same label does not mean two reviewers have the same proportions or support preferences.
Think about your tummy and how you will layer it
Decide whether you want a close base layer under a blouse or a tank to wear as a top. A smooth, close fit is different from a promise of strong compression. If you are between chart measurements or unsure about coverage, contact support rather than automatically sizing down for more hold. Comfort matters when you will wear the tank for hours.
Try it with the clothes you actually wear
After it arrives, check the fit standing and sitting, and try a blouse or cardigan over it. Move your arms and notice whether you feel pulling at the shoulders or armholes. Read the current exchange and return conditions before ordering, then follow those instructions if the fit is wrong. Keep your order details handy when asking for help.
